There are a limited number of medals and tshirts available, so register before September 12th to guarantee that you have one on race day! Late registrants receive t-shirt/medal on a first-come, first-got basis.
Register at the Zombie Bait! rate ($60 per runner) from 1-4pm on race day in person
Onsite registrants are not guaranteed a t-shirt or medal on Saturday, Zombie Run day.
Runners or spectators 15 and under MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times on and off the course.
Runners must be at least 10 years of age or older to participate.
Spectators are welcome to attend at no charge to cheer on the zombies! Brains! Brains! Wait a minute…that’s not right….
Registration as a runner entitles you to:
-a runner’s Rewards Bag that includes a commemorative race t-shirt and a completion medal;
-a ticket for 1 free drink at the after-party (water, soda, or beer);
-a ticket for the Opening Weekend of The Castle Halloween Festival October 2nd and 3rd
-the enormous satisfaction you get from facing the zombie horde while contributing to a good cause
THE COURSE: Green Country has been infected and The Castle of Muskogee is overrun! Feed your adrenaline urge by facing off against the zombie horde, and then fleeing through the woods and Village on The Castle grounds as they pursue you and your tasty, tasty brains. Be ready to encounter obstacles and challenges! Serious runners will appreciate the rugged roads and trails on 60 acres of Castle land, and those of you out for a jaunt will marvel at the unique features of the site that you normally don’t get to experience! Mud, treacherous ravines, a hungry dragon, perilous woods filled with brain-chomping menace…FUN!!
Come dressed to escape…come prepared….train hard! Make it through the course with at least one life flag still attached and win the coveted “Survivor” medal. If you fail, and you lose your flags to hungry zombies, you are marked “Infected” (equally coveted in some circles)!
The course is about 3 miles long/5K and winds from The Castle out into the field, through the woods, and back into the Village. Along the way, you’ll be faced with hidden perils, challenging obstacles, and hungry zombies.
Outmaneuver the horde, keep your life flags attached, and make it to the safe zone where you’ll be lauded for your apocalypse-survival skills. You might be muddy, you might be sore, but you’ll have all your brains still in your cranium.
If you lose your flags to the ravenous undead, you’ll be designated infected, but we love you anyway. Join the “Paint the Town Dead” party and celebrate with your still-living friends!
RULES and SAFETY: We want you to have fun on the run! We’ve also been told that our zombies can’t *actually* eat your brains. So there are some rules.

BLOOD DRIVE: The American Red Cross is sending the Bloodmobile to the Zombie Run, because there is a desperate need for donations! We are glad to support the Red Cross in their efforts to prepare for real (and imagined) disaster. Please go to www.redcrossblood.org and use the sponsor code: castlemuskogee to schedule an appointment during the afternoon (1-5pm). This is a perfect activity for those folks not participating in the run, and anyone else willing to help! Runners are not eligible to donate until *after* you’ve run, and eaten, please. Thank you!
NEW! ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE INFLATABLE OBSTACLE COURSE: We have activities for everyone on run day! Kids 5 and older (including big kids at heart, up to 225 pounds) are welcome to buy a ticket to the inflatable obstacle course on the front lawn. This is *excellent* training for outmaneuvering zombies, and it’s never too early to start preparing! (Because we ALL know Carl WON’T just stay in the house!) Tickets are $10 each, and can be purchased at the same time as any runner’s registration. The obstacle course can be run by kids of any age on their own; parents accompanying your child onto the course must also purchase a ticket. Children 15 and under must be supervised by a parent or guardian from the viewing area. Kids may get wet and/or muddy, and must remove shoes before entering the inflatables. Rinse off showers will be available. Proceeds benefit our charity partners. Tickets also available the day of the run. Open 1pm-8pm.
PAINT THE TOWN DEAD!: Our post-apocalypse celebration of all things zombie. Come get your groove on with the living and the (un)dead. Make your mark on the Runner’s Memorial Wall. Sign up your team of 4 for the Undead Tug of War. Take another spin down the water slide. Runners can redeem your free drink ticket, visit the food trucks to refuel after the run, shop the merchants, cheer the Survivors, jeer the Infected, and enjoy the monstrous camaraderie of the event. Everyone is welcome. Our night ends with fireworks!
